OK Gail and I have had the Subaru Outback we purchased from Subaru of Keene for about 3 months now. We have not had any snow to try it out in but I am definitely not complaining about that we can wait for next winter and be happy doing it! So far Subaru of Keene has been 100% true to any promise made to us. Gail took the car down to them for the first oil change and to have options that we purchased installed. They happily gave Gail an overnght loaner when we spoke to Curt Finnamore our salesman he took excellent care of us! We would definitely recommend that you talk to Curt at 603-355-5000 ext 114 if you are looking for a great deal on a great car, he is top shelf.

Now down to the brass tacks.

I have been practicing hypermiling with this Outback and have some great news to share. This car is very capable of getting 40 mpg if you work at it! I was very surprised about the milage but I have been able to repeat it several times. As the car gets more broken in I expect I could be able to do even better. Now this is practicing techniques listed elsewhere on the site so take a look at my other posts about saving fuel I am not talking about drafting or any of the other extreme forms of hypermiling! I have slowed down, take it easy on takeoff, and generally use good driving habits! This is not hard stuff it is just relearning to slow down, enjoy your ride and not be in such a hurry. Well anyway we still really like the Outback and will review in another few months unless something big happens.
